Irrigation Spray Heads Don’t Need To Run As Long As Rotor Heads

There are two types of irrigation heads primarily used in the installation of an irrigation system – spray heads and rotor heads. Rotor heads rotate and are used mostly for the grass portion of the landscaping. A spray head does not rotate, its mists in a concentrated area and used mostly for the shrubbery portion of the landscaping. Spray heads range in height from 4″ – 12″ in order to accommodate the different level of plants. Mist heads are used close to the house and in islands and don’t need as much watering time as rotor heads.
